Why do I feel like that drink is spiked with something?
Ulterior motives, maybe?
Dun dun DUN!
Look at the photo! Last panel! Does anyone notice a certain, wider framed women. One that isn’t ideal for the rights of zombies? One holding a check with our ever so friendly mayor?!
Well that all depends on Lichtman’s research. If his break through in immortality is fueled by killing zombies then yes this would be bad for zombies. But there’s really no reason why that would be the case. It’s just one of those stupid SciFi cliche’s against science where everything comes “At a cost.” And so if something is really good the cost must be really bad.
Except that science is always about short circuiting costs, not equivalent exchange. When the polio vaccine came out it wasn’t like to only way to make the vaccine was the brake the legs of poor children.
So here’s hoping that TY is not a purely evil company but is instead a company with a complex history and future.
Look at what’s on the wall behind James. Mayor Keller is already in bed with TY.
We already knew that way back.
Yeah, I’d forgotten all about that scene.
I’ve gon from wanting to punch the mayor in the fact to giving him a high five. I can’t tell if he’s the villain or the mentor! Make up you mind, Mr. Keller! Either say something nice or say something bigoted! Stop making me guess!
I meant punch in the face, not punch in the fact. I hate auto-correct.
Well, we know he’s tight with TY, but that isn’t the worst things given the recent, “Shake Up” in their leadership.
Heh. He’s a politician, mate. He’s gathering yet another voting block and doing it while supporting a new kind of social work. Five will get you ten that he’ll be suggesting to TY at their next meeting that a few large figures be given to a community centre with matching goals. Five will get you fifty that if this succeeds, he’ll be the first state senator to propose the undead be allowed to vote.
That’s what politicians do: they make the horrible sound wonderful and play all sides against the middle. Especially when they’re standing in the middle with influence and money at their beck and call.
I feel like I can trust this guy.
He’s a politician, that’s how I know he’s trustworthy.
Please don’t be evil
I get the feeling our kind mayor is about to do something unbefitting of that magnificent bowtie
i read it like bowtee, lol thanks for the pointing out of his great accessoroo
The mayor could be mute and still exude enough sleaze to make me retch.
I like the mayor. Having worked in politics for the last few years i’ve come to enjoy it. I hope the mayor at least stays as a somewhat decent character. I hate how most comics depict politics as being an unsavory career.
