And that wraps up Chapter 4. That was a ton of fun guys. Looking forward to the next Chapter! Taking a break next week, but I will be putting up at least sketch content. Thank you so much for reading!
Well, at least he doesn’t seem too evil at the moment.
Doesn’t seem too evil? He’s talking immortality. Practically every single megalomaniacal evil genius in fiction has tried to pull that off. Trying to achieve immortality is kind of the realm of the “bad guy.”
It’s more the realm of people who’d rather not die, thanks kindly. Check out HPMoR for an excellent counterexample to your claim.
Granted, though, Lichtman is getting steadily creepier.
He fed his previous boss to a zombie he’s more or less been keeping as a pet to keep Geoffrey on his side, as well as was totally intending on selling out James because he saw that, whatever was in that research he was doing, could be used by TY or himself.
Sounds pretty stock for “supervillain who is about to begin his evil plot” to me.
Well, to be fair, the previous boss was staging zombie attacks, enslaving zombies, withheld medical treatment, and had the human compassion of broccoli. That part of the conflict felt very Grey vs Black – The Doc is no angel, but the boss was a total villain.
Have I mentioned I’m not too good o a judge of character. I don’t think I have.
Wanting to be immortal doesn’t mean evil alone you need 4 of the following:
Wanting to be immortal
No more than half of your face shown at once
When mouth is shown is smiling
Communicates by video screen
Background of video screen is dark/blurred/blank
Don’t think he has #1 or #3, and #4 is a technicality…but he’s got #2 (or at least offering it on the table), #5 (slight grin), #6 (this page!), and #7 (and…creepily, too…)
he has about a third of his face covered, I think that’s good enough
Zombie plague + panacea + control system to prevent ferality = immortality.
Currently, we have embalming fluid that halts the decay process. Then again, from the sounds of it, Lichtman has made a pill that /repairs/ damage done to cells – regrowth of skin, revival of nerves, etc. With this panacea, that might just be the control system. Embalming fluid could be a thing of the past.
Not saying you are wrong, but I imagine it’s more likely that you embalm most of the time, and pill. like, once a month to fix any wear and tear? just because the pills are probably relatively expensive, just because new treatments always are?
boy, that escalated quickly.
I’m having real trouble deciding whether Lichtman is good or bad or somewhat deranged. I accept no in-betweens.
This is what the Umbrella corporations has been trying to do in every movie and game, but these guys did it in 1 “total loss of lab and personnel. “
Well, that was the ‘real plan’ ob Umbrella’s boss in the games – his employees really thought they ‘just’ create bio-weapons to sell them to people.
Umbrella in the movies was -different. They were just plain incompetent.
