I mean, the awful memories from a house were you almost got killed usually don’t make you take that kind of desicion… is about the moving out thing? Is because the stoner lady from the cementery?
My guess is that being reminded of near death experiences also reminds oneself that life…well, err…yeah, life is too short. :-P
Well being reminded of mortality often caused people to think of the future and try to get in more living while they can. She is reminded of how close she came to dying, a near death experience that inspired her to break out of her depression in the first place. So I don’t think it’s surprising that being reminded of a traumatic but motivating experience would inspire her to move further toward what she wants.

always moving in interesting directions. I wonder what’s going on with his old dying ex, and if he’ll ever start to remember her again. Also, his ex (the dying one) should understand that being a zombie does not do anything good to your brain, so she should have tried to help him remember.
She was maybe feeling too emotional to think that logically. She will likely regret storming out in high dungeon. Just too many shocks to the system I think. She needed someone to throw those emotions at. A zombie and a former friend seem to have been handy.
